Job Title: Outside Sales Representative

Location: Chicago, IL

Must Haves:

  • Outside Sales Experience is a MUST
  • A little more of an established book of business
  • Driver’s License (Required)
  • Willingness to travel (50%)
  • Local (No relocating candidates)

  • Carpentry skills preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business preferred, not required

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year (The position’s salary is a draw + commission, $4k a month draw)

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • 7:30 AM until 4 or 5 PM

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and grow customer base with a large geographic territory
  • Create & execute specific strategic plans to profitably grow the business
  • Attain revenue targets and KPIs as set by the Sales Director
  • Assist and guide customers in product selection and influence sales towards
  • strategic brands
  • Continuous follow-up on assigned quotes
  • Quote to close ratio of 20% or greater
  • Evaluate, monitor, and resolve sales-related issues in a timely manner
  • Participate in construction site meetings as required to assist in issue
  • resolution
  • Collect market intelligence and competitor activity information and share
  • through company database
  • Provide timely and accurate forecasts on sales projections
  • Generate accurate and timely field reports
  • Participate in industry and promotional events

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
  • Good Communication & writing skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Ability to read and understand equipment operation manuals, Safety Data
  • Sheets and other literature as required
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Skills
