According to a survey conducted in February of 33,706 people from around the world, among the top 48 cities in the world to live in 2019, Montreal ranked sixth and Toronto ranked 23rd.

In a study conducted by the Time Out website, New York City topped the list of the best cities in the world in 2019, followed by cities such as Melbourne, Chicago and London. Each year, Time Out publishes the City Life Index, which rates the world’s top cities based on factors such as food, drink, culture, friendships, affordability, and happiness.

In this year’s ranking, New York City topped the list thanks to the variety and live music of the night. In second place is Melbourne due to its characteristics such as joy, creativity, variety of food and live music.

Third on the list is Chicago, which is due to the choice of food, drink, entertainment and happiness. In fact, Chicago is the happiest city in the world, with 85% of its residents saying they have felt satisfied in the last 24 hours of their lives.

Apart from the top 5 cities on the list, there are many other cities around the world, each with its own characteristics. The study shows that Bangkok is the food capital of the world, with more people eating street food than anywhere else, and everyone in the city eating out on average three times a week.

In terms of café tourism, no city can reach Madrid, Spain. The people of this city go to cafes an average of 44 times a year and for drinking 19 times.

Paris is the most social city on earth, despite the fact that its inhabitants consider it a less friendly environment. Parisians often visit their friends weekly (41 times a year) and visit exhibitions, galleries and museums (23 times a year).

Las Vegas ranks first in terms of nightlife, but third most expensive in the world in terms of cost.

The people of Berlin are known for their diets and excessive food restrictions, with 8% of the population being “vegan” and 23% consuming less meat. It also has the highest number of people who have stopped drinking (one in 4 people)

The people of Manchester have the highest consumption of alcohol and beverages and as a result have the highest rate of hangovers per year (on average 25 days a year).
